Queen Elizabeth II’s Burial
Queen Elizabeth II, the United Kingdom’s longest-reigning monarch for seven decades died peacefully at the age of 96 on 8 September 2022 at Balmoral in Scotland. Torrents of tributes poured in for her from all over the world. On 19 September, over a million people lined the streets of London on the day of Her Majesty’s funeral, which was held at Westminster Abbey before her body was driven to Windsor Castle, where it was interred with Prince Philip, her husband of 73 years.
